VIO - "The Leader in Wearable Video" presents the Wide Angle POV.1.5 Helmet Cam System. The POV.1.5 is a cutting edge, fully integrated point-of-view (POV) video system that's waterproof, dustproof and shock-resistant.
Helmet Camera Central's POV.1.5 package includes EVERYTHING you need to get going: Recording Unit with LCD screen, Wide Angle Camera Head, a 4Gb SDHC card, batteries, USB cable, TV output cable, wireless remote, star mount for versatile mounting options and it is all nicely packaged in a specially designed carrying case that holds everything you need when you go filming! All you need is the POV1.5!
The POV.1.5 easily connects to PCs and Macs just like a Digital Camera - except the POV.1.5 delivers DVD quality video with a few simple clicks. Drag & Drop right into your favorite video editors like iMovie, Movie Make, Adobe Premier, and more. If you're interested in viewing your captured experiences before you get home, just attach the included TV cable and hook right up to the TV at your friends house.

The mounts that come with the POV.1.5 are very innovative and very different from the mounts that came with the POV.1. There is a "star shaped" mount which is flexible to fit fit tight onto any surface. There are six magnets provided where three of them fit into each arm of the star mount; this creates the perfect mount for securing it to any metalic surface and keeps the wide resistance of the camera to a minimum. If you need to mount it to basically anything (even a cap) you can place the other three magents on the inside of the surface and then let the magnets meet and stick - this is surprisingly strong and shouldn't go anywhere!.
There are adhesive pads provided to stick the star mount onto anything if you would like to, there are also loads of other bits and pieces in the package which make mounting the camera to anything a breeze! The only shortfall of this mounting kit is that there is no 8mm (quater inch) thread adapton on the kit. We would recommend that you choose to add a base-plate and C-Clamp pack when checking out to make sure that you will have a complete mounting kit for everything!

The POV.1 records its videos using MPEG4, so you can use your Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Mac computer to view them.
Mac:
Plug the POV.1 into a USB port or insert the SD card into a card reader in your computer. After a simple installation of quicktime components for MPEG-4, you'll be able to browse all of the videos, view them through Quicktime, and edit them in iMovie!
PC:
Install V.I.O.'s POV Manager software: simple, intuitive software that allows you to view, edit, and share video easily. For example:
* A "POV Recorder" window shows thumbnails of videos saved on the connected POV.1, and a "POV Library" window shows thumbnails of videos stored on your hard drive.
* Drag and drop video clips from the POV Recorder to the POV Library to move them between the POV.1 and your computer, or drag onto a play area to play them back in either actual size or full screen.
* See tags on the timeline during playback, and extract clips to the "Storyboard" window to quickly edit your video.
* Use the "Share" function to email your clips and upload them to V.I.O. where they can be seen by your friends.
